WordPress Training

One thing that has become apparent since Picture Engine started is that a lot of people already have WordPress websites and are looking for training on how to use and update them. Typically their site was set up for them and the original designer is no longer available, or they simply don’t want to pay “web developer” prices to do a little bit of editing or even just have a typo corrected. Either way, there’s a clear need for some basic training for a lot of WordPress site owners, and that’s where Picture Engine can help!

From the basics of how to login and navigating the dashboard, to adding images and media to your site, to designing new pages, writing blog posts and editing the menu, the Introduction to WordPress course takes you from absolute beginner to being confident navigating your way around your website. Watch this space for news of the Intermediate WordPress course coming soon!

Centre-based Training Courses

Picture Engine WordPress training will take place in one of the meeting or training rooms at Huddersfield’s state-of-the-art Media Centre. Training is currently offered in a socially distanced, Covid-secure environment, with face protection used for all face-to-face training and hand sanitiser stations available throughout the building. There is parking nearby, plus refreshment facilities, and Huddersfield station is a few minutes walk away. Bespoke Training Courses

Picture Engine can also design WordPress training specifically for your website. If you have a WordPress site and you’d like to know how to get the best out of it but you’d prefer to do most of the work yourself, Picture Engine will map out how your site works and then deliver training in as many 3-hour blocks as you need in order to get fully acquainted with the workings of your website. Training can be in-person, on your site or at a separate training venue, or it can be delivered remotely using Zoom or Teams, whichever suits your needs best.

Thanks for today, really enjoyed it and so satisfying to figure out my issues! And thank for the offer of any little queries follow up, I think that will be useful too! Good to talk through and see everyone else’s websites too. I’ll be adding your workshop into my inspiration corner part of my blog next week. I can imagine we’re all busy on working on our websites tonight? I certainly am!
